What We Do
Land clearing is the full-scale removal of every obstacle on a piece of ground — standing trees, stumps, root masses, brush, briars, and any accumulated debris — leaving a surface that's flat, trafficable, and ready for immediate use. Where forestry mulching processes material in place, land clearing takes it off the property entirely, or grinds and grades it so the site is blank-slate ready for its next purpose.
UE Landworks uses a track skid steer with a forestry mulcher head to process trees, brush, and stumps directly on site. Large trees are ground and mulched in place. Root mass at the surface is processed and incorporated. The result is a clean, open site with the topsoil layer intact and a natural mulch layer already down — no hauling required on most jobs.
For land clearing jobs requiring material removal off-site, we load and haul debris as part of the project scope. The forestry mulcher handles the full range of vegetation from dense brush to mature hardwood trees up to 8–10 inches — covering the vast majority of land clearing work in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
Our low-ground-pressure tracked equipment minimizes soil compaction during the clearing process — a critical advantage on agricultural parcels in Defiance, Williams, Henry, and Fulton counties where topsoil depth and drainage are directly tied to long-term crop productivity.
