View ServiceBuild-Ready Ground
Clearing, grubbing, stump removal, and rough grading — handled in one coordinated operation. We take a raw, wooded, or overgrown parcel and hand it back ready for the next contractor to break ground.
What We Do
Site prep is the work that happens before any building, farming, or development can begin. It means removing every obstacle — trees, stumps, brush, root masses, and debris — and leaving the ground in a condition your next contractor can actually use. Done right, it saves time and money at every step that follows.
UE Landworks handles site prep as a complete, coordinated service. We assess the parcel, plan the clearing sequence, and bring the right equipment for the job — forestry mulcher for brush, smaller-diameter trees, and stumps processed in a single pass. The result is a site where stumps are ground below grade, root masses are processed, and the surface is trafficable and rough-graded.
We work closely with property owners, general contractors, and developers to understand what "ready" means for a specific project. A pad for a residential build has different requirements than a field being converted to row crops — and we plan accordingly. Communication is direct: you know exactly what we're doing, when we're doing it, and what the finished site will look like.
Site prep jobs across Lucas, Wood, and Lenawee counties frequently involve a combination of mature hardwood clearing and brushy understory — exactly the scenario where the forestry mulcher delivers a fast, clean single-pass result without the hassle of debris piling or hauling.
What You Get
Full Vegetation Clearing
All trees, brush, briars, and woody growth removed or processed — entire footprint cleared to bare ground.
Stump Removal & Grubbing
Stumps extracted or ground below grade. Root masses removed so there's no buried material to decay, settle, or interfere with drainage.
Debris Removal or Processing
Material mulched in place, hauled off, or piled for later removal — based on project requirements and site logistics.
Rough Grade & Trafficable Surface
Site left at rough grade — flat enough for vehicles and equipment to move across, ready for final grading or immediate construction.
Coordination with GC or Developer
We work directly with general contractors, surveyors, and developers to ensure scope, timing, and site conditions align with what comes next.
Who It's For
Site prep is the starting point for any project that requires cleared, usable ground. These are the most common project types we handle.
Wooded lots cleared and prepped for a home build. We remove trees and stumps within the build zone while preserving any existing tree line or landscaping the owner wants to keep.
Large wooded or brushy parcels prepped for commercial construction. We move fast, coordinate with your GC, and leave a site ready for grading equipment the next day.
Convert a neglected woodlot or scrubby fence line into productive crop ground. We remove everything above and below grade so the reclaimed land is ready to till, drain, and seed.
Cabins, outbuildings, pond sites, and access roads on recreational parcels — we prep the specific areas you need cleared while leaving the surrounding timber and cover intact.
The Process
We walk the parcel with you, review any plans or surveys, and define the clearing boundary and finish requirements. You get a flat-rate quote that covers everything — no open-ended hourly billing.
Mulcher on site. Brush and smaller timber processed first, then larger trees felled and stumps ground below grade. Material removed or mulched in place based on project spec.
Site rough-graded, surface trafficable, no buried stumps or root masses remaining. Ready for your grading contractor, your building permit, or your seed drill — whichever comes next.
